What’s the difference between an organic mattress and a latex mattress? Well, the difference can be minor or major. It all depends on the manufacturer.
In our Restore line of 100% latex mattresses the difference is simply the cover. Using a Bamboo based cover allows us to provide better value without sacrificing the overall quality of the mattress. Realistically, making pure organic latex rubber is extremely difficult. 100% Natural and Talalay latex rubbers are often blended with filler and/or synthetic latex to reduce costs and improve production efficiency. We believe that any latex mattress should be made with the purest, highest performing latex rubber available.
With hybrid latex mattresses, the difference can be significant depending on the manufacturer. All our hybrid latex mattresses have at least 2” of organic Dunlop latex combined with a transition and support layer made from other materials such as BioFoam or Pocket-Coils.
No matter how others define latex mattresses, we only use GOLS certified organic latex that’s free of performance robbing filler and/or synthetic latex. Not only that, you can open any of our mattresses to see the actual composition for yourself. Your new latex mattress shouldn’t be a riddle wrapped in a mystery.
